John W. Lovell, NY, nd (circa 1882). Dark brown cloth, light yellow end-papers, embossed covers, gilt letters. Top & bottom headbands frayed & largely missing. Various blemishes to covers. P.O. inscriptions to each volume, with Volume I dated March 13, 1882. All gilt is dulled but lettering is intact & legible. Spines have rolled on both books, with some head separation, but each is still securely bound. Front hinge on volume I is partially cracked, otherwise all hinges are sound. 829 & 814 pages.
