Charles Scribner's Sons, NY, 1900. Blue-green cloth, gilt top-edge, deckled pages, decorative front cover, gilt letters. Spine bumping & rubs, hd & ft, corners. Crisp white pages w/o markings. Pages xi - xiv of the Introduction have been trimmed along the edges by a previous owner, only God knows why. The deckled pages have been roughly opened where they were un-cut, and have a ragged appearance in places. The gilt lettering is somewhat subdued, but still fully extant & legible; the gilt top-edge is still bright. There is just a hair of separation at the head, but book is still squared & tightly bound; both hinges are sound. 254 pages.
