Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, NY & London, 1975 (copyright). First American Edition - stated. 1/3 dark brown cloth/orange boards, orange top-edge, tan speckled end-papers, gilt letters. Very minor spine bumping, head & foot, corners sharp. Crisp white pages w/o markings - appears to be un-read. Spine gilt is bright & shiny, but orange lettering beneath is a bit subdued & beginning to flake a little. There are two places where the front orange board is scuffed/worn along the front edge, with a couple of other minor blemishes here & there. The book is a bit canted, with some separation at the head of the spine, but still tightly bound. Both hinges are sound. The dust jacket has a little edge-creasing at the head of the spine, and there is a dog-ear at the top corner of the front flap. Otherwise, it is pristine - still bright & colorful. The publisher's original price of $7.95 is at the corner of the front flap. Now in a BroDart protective sleeve. 282 pages.
Note: The number line shown states "BCDE", which according to Quill & Brush was normal practice for HBJ on first editions from 1973 - 1983.
