Beige cloth, pictographic end-papers, brown letters. Spine bumping/rubs, hd & ft, corners. P.O.'s signature "Wally Johnson" above the Title Page. Author's signature signed below his name, at the foot of the Title Page. Crisp white pages w/o any other markings - the first word of the Title Page is slightly marred/worn. The spine is slightly sun-faded & both boards have minor blemishes, in places. Book is tightly bound - both hinges are sound. The DJ is price-clipped & evidently from a library copy, as there is an old Dewey Decimal # at the foot of the spine. It is edge-creased and has been reinforced with external white tape at the head, foot & corners of the spine. The top corner of the back flap is torn & missing a small piece. Both covers have various minor blemishes (shelf-wear/minor chips & creases), but the front cover is still bright & colorful. Now in a BroDart protective sleeve. 196 pages.
Very rare signed copy. Published by "Artcraft Engraving And Electrotype Company/Superior Publishing Company". Also included is a 1951 Daily Appointment Book (7" X 4') from the "Thos. T. Aldwell & Co." Real Estate - Property Management - Insurance office, located at 105 1/2 North Laurel Street, in Port Angeles. The book states that the firm was established in 1890, and was owned by Aldwell and his partners, William M. Wenner, Earl N. Story & Rheo S. Gilmore. It is a blue w/gilt lettering pocket-sized book w/o markings, that contains a daily journal, a section for monthly Cash Accounts, a Name & Address Directory, Household Weights & Measures, Household Hints, Calendars for 1951 & 1952 & various other odds & ends.
