Random House, NY, 1946 (copyright). Second Printing - stated. Blue cloth, author's gilt signature on front cover, gilt letters against a black background. Minor spine bumping, hd & ft, corners sharp. Both end-papers have yellowed with age, as are page-ends. P.O.'s notes (un-related to the play) across the fff - no other markings. Crisp white pages throughout. All gilt is bright. There is a small binding error to the bottom corner of the front board (corner is un-cut). Just a hair of separation at the head of spine, but book is tightly bound. Both hinges are sound. 260 pages.
