Harper & Brothers, NY, 1890. 1st Edition, 1st Printing. Green cloth, gilt letters. Spine bumping/small frays, hd & ft, corners. Both end-papers have slightly darkened with age, with minor blemishes to both boards. There are a couple of small spots on the first few inner pages of the book - otherwise, it is in nice shape EXCEPT THAT page 97/98 was torn & scotch-taped, with a large circular area missing from the poems "The Mountain Ash" on pg. 97 and the last stanza of "The Song Of The Maple" on the facing page (98). These have been replaced with the appropriate verses, on standard typing paper, and glued into the book so that the text is again complete. The book is still tightly bound & both hinges are sound. 240 pages.
"First Book, In Two Parts. Part I. Arbor Day - Part II. Memorial Day." Very Rare, in any condition.
