b/w text illustrations throughout, many full-page, by various artists. Gray & green decorative cloth, dyed top-edge, matching end-papers, green letters. Spine bumping, head & foot, corners - 2 tiny frays at corners of the head. Spine is lightly rubbed/worn, mainly along the gutters, with other minor blemishes to both covers. The front end-paper is partially yellowed from age/previous newspaper clipping???. Dyed top-edge is partially sun-faded. The 3rd tipped-in plate ("Princess Jil") is dog-earred at the bottom corner & plate # 5 ("Oranges") likewise, with a sliver of the bottom corner missing. The book is somewhat canted, with a bit of separation at the head, but still tightly bound. Both hinges are sound. 228 pages.
